It took a while for Michela to discover the passion that was already within her German and Friulian genes. It was only in her 30s that Michela discovered the nuanced realm of viticulture, a discovery that resulted in her devotion to the fascinating world of wine that is constantly in flux.

After obtaining a Master’s Degree in Wineries Marketing and Management and the AIS Sommelier Diploma, her curiosity was driven to the world of craft beers. She soon earned the official Unionbirrai Beer Taster Diploma. These days her new pursuit is tea, the second most popular libation in the world.

Michela cautions, “After any tasting, getting rid of extra calories is vital, as I am fond of good food as well. On weekends I hike the mountains around Lake Como. There is nothing better than gazing the world from the summit and enjoying the silence, the nature.”

A former telecommunications manager, Fulvio is presently a lonely extreme traveler. Two passions have always driven him: wine and photography.

“In my early 40s, I was looking at a glass of Sfurzat, a wine produced in Valtellina, my homeland. I suddenly realized that I could and should do something else in my life.” Done! First, Fulvio obtained the AIS Sommelier Diploma; then the Master’s Degree in Wineries Marketing and Management.

Fulvio believes that “wine is more than a simple, fine beverage; it acts as an instigator in business communication.” Fulvio gives wine its deserved importance: from a mere object to an uncontested, supreme subject. For him there is no better ambience than a crackling mountain-hut fireplace to meditate on a glass of wine, to be mesmerized by its shadows and bright sparkles.
