BirrAlp – High Altitude Beers is a festival dedicated to craft beer and the mountains. It takes place in a mountain refuge and includes the tasting of craft beer, with the participation of one or more breweries and their brewers. The format includes a weekend, both in summer and winter, in which guest beers are offered for free tasting, or in combination with the refuge’s dishes. On Saturday evening there is a dinner with a guided tasting, in which each course of the dinner is paired with a guest beer. Generally on Saturday and/or Sunday there is also live music or other entertainment offered by the refuge hosting the event. Rossi&Bianchi coordinates the entire organization and takes care of communication, from information materials (poster, menu) to the press office and communication on social media. The first BirrAlp was created in September 2012 at the Nicola refuge in Piani di Artavaggio, hosted by the Birrificio Italiano.
